The most obvious answer is that December 25 is Christ's birthday. But Biblical scholars do dispute this. Many believe he was born in January or February, or even September.

Many historians believe that the holiday is celebrated in late December to supplant the traditional pagan celebration of Winter solstice.

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address.
